The livestream starts at 5PM. If you have questions, just add them as a comment to this article.

While many still think of Pokémon Go when they hear the term Augmented Reality, the industry is thinking much bigger. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg predicts that augmented reality glasses could be the platform of the beginning decade – and could become as important for the 2020s as the smartphone was for the 2010s. Apple, too, is investing billions.

With the advent of ever better augmented reality glasses, the Internet will gradually leave the screens – and conquer the spatial world around us. The real world will be extended by digital layers, changing the way we work and live. Together with experts we want to find out what this development means for entertainment, industry and our everyday life.

Unfortunately, due to the current restrictions due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we cannot have any guests on site this time :frowning: But hopefully next time again (or 2021 at the latest!)

In the case of Facebook and the Oculus Quest strict German antitrust laws seem to slow down the wider adoption of XR technologies. How do you see the market evolve?
