My name is Zaid Zaim. I am from Syria. I came to Germany eight years ago due the war in Syria.
Three years ago I started visiting the ReDI School of digital Integration and participating in multiple hackathons, as well as meeting experts in the field of XR.
In 2019 under the mentorship of Microsoft I started a project, which uses the Microsoft HoloLens to perserve endangered cultural heritage with Mixed Reality based on the city Palmyra in Syria.
Since September 2020 I am doing an internship at Island Labs. I am acquiring valuable skills in XR and HoloLens 2, with the help highly exprienced developers. I got the chance to elevate my project to a completely new level and make the cultural heritage experience through Mixed Reality and HoloLens 2 a tangibel one for the viewer.
The Internship at Island Labs deepend my passion for Mixed Reality.
Mein Name ist Zaid Zaim. Ich komme aus Syrien. Ich kam vor acht Jahren wegen des Krieges in Syrien nach Deutschland.
Vor drei Jahren begann ich, die ReDI-Schule für digitale Integration zu besuchen und an mehreren Hackathons teilzunehmen sowie Experten auf dem Gebiet der XR zu treffen.
Im Jahr 2019 startete ich unter die Anleitung von Microsoft und der ReDI School ein Projekt, bei dem die Microsoft HoloLens verwendet wird, um das gefährdete Kulturerbe mit Mixed Reality auf der Grundlage der Stadt Palmyra in Syrien zu erhalten.
Seit September 2020 mache ich ein Praktikum bei Island Labs. Ich erwerbe wertvolle Fähigkeiten in XR und HoloLens 2, mit der Hilfe von sehr erfahrenen Entwicklern. Ich bekam die Chance, mein Projekt auf eine völlig neue Ebene zu heben und das Kulturerbe durch Mixed Reality und HoloLens 2 für den Betrachter erlebbar zu machen.
Das Praktikum bei Island Labs vertiefte meine Leidenschaft für Mixed Reality.
