Helmuth Trischler ist Bereichsleiter Forschung des Deutschen Museums, Professor für Neuere Geschichte und Technikgeschichte an der LMU München und Direktor des Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society. Er ist Mitglied der Leopoldina – Nationale Akademie der Wissenschaften und von acatech – Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind u.a. Innovationskulturen im internationalen Vergleich, Anthropozän, Wissenschaftliche Evidenzkulturen und Kooperation und Konkurrenz in den Wissenschaften. Jüngste Bücher u.a. Building Europe on Expertise: Innovators, Organizers, Networkers (2014, mit Martin Kohlrausch); Willkommen im Anthropozän (2014, mit Nina Möllers und Christian Schwägerl); Cycling and Recycling: Histories of Sustainable Practices (2016, mit Ruth Oldenziel).
Helmuth Trischler is Head of Reseach at the Deutsches Museums, Professor of Modern History and History of Technology at LMU München and Director of the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society. He is a member of Leopoldina – Nationale Akademie der Wissenschaften and of acatech – Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften. His research foci include innovation cultures in international comparison, the Anthropocene, scientific evidence cultures, and cooperation and competition in the sciences.
