Michael A. Kraus Dr.-Ing., M.Sc. (hons) studied Civil Engineering at the Technical University Munich with a specialisation in structural engineering. From 2012 to 2014 he was selected for the Honours program of the Bavarian Graduate School of Computational Engineering (BGCE). Since 2015 Michael Kraus works at the Institute and Laboratory for Structural Engineering at the Bundeswehr University Munich.
By February 2019 he received his PhD for his dissertation on ‘Machine Learning Techniques for the Material Parameter Identification of Laminated Glass in the Intact and Post-Fracture State’. In January 2020 Michael Kraus will join Stanford University, California, as a post-doc researcher under supervision of Prof. Christian.
Since 2018 Dr. Kraus is working as scientific advisor and developer for franckAI in various fields of applying artificial intelligence to production processes in different industries.
