My sustainability journey started in the 1990s, when I worked in Jakarta, Indonesia. Suddenly I was exposed to the harsh reality of most people on this planet – their daily struggles, the pollution of the air, the water. The difference between my own, privileged situation and theirs felt deeply unfair and left me wanting to change that ever since.
My focus is on business as a force for good. I’ve explored many ways, such as sustainability management inside a large telco, building an award-wining Youth Social Entrepreneur program and impact investments in startups.
I’m now advising businesses and international organizations on ESG/impact investment and innovation for sustainability strategy.
Global injustice and ecological crises are unfortunately increasing. Building a regenerative economy for all, restoring our ecosystems and our relationship with nature is the only thing that matters.
