Dirk joined CustomCells in order to grow its bunsiness substantially and to bring the organisation to the next level. He is a veteran of sustainable mobility and a cross over between IT and Automotive, recently entering also Aviation. His career has covered a wide variety of different positions, including ‚CTO Continental‘, ‚CTO Team Global‘, VP and founding member of Californa and China based start-up ‚BYTON‘. He was one of the instrumental pioneers in the ‚BMW i‘ program and oversaw BMW i3 and i8 powertrain.
Dirk received his PhD and Diploma/Master degree from Technical University of Hamburg, Germany in Digital Communication Networks. With his automotive, aviation and connectivity background he embodies the transformation of the mobility world into the next generation of smart devices. Dirk holds more than 12 international patents and has published more than 20 international journal and conference papers (IEEE).
