Simon Haddadin is the founder of Franka Emika: the company that develops the first sensitive and learning capable light-weight robot “Panda”. For this revolution, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier presented Franka Emika the German Future Prize in 2017. To achieve this, Simon, as a member of the renowned DLR research group and as part of his dissertation on safe physical human-robot interaction, plunged into the depths of science. At 1E9 he will talk about the mission of Franka Emika: building the ideal robot of the future, which should be a tool that can be used by anybody and which supports humans in carrying out unpleasant or even dangerous tasks.
