Lilian Schwich is founder of the Start-Up cylib, in the field of li-ion battery recycling. She is currently also group leader in the area of battery recycling at IME (Institute for Process Metallurgy and Metal Recycling) at RWTH Aachen, where she has been a doctoral candidate in battery recycling since 2016. Her ResearchGate profile shows a number of >20,000 reads, she submitted her Ph.D. thesis in 2021 with the topic of lithium recovery from lithium-sulfur batteries. She is doing technical consulting in the area of circular economy for li-ion batteries at the RWTH´s spin-off MIMI Tech since 2018. She holds her Master´s degree in materials engineering with a focus on metallurgy, also from RWTH Aachen.
