Balázs Nagy studied aerospace at Technical University of Munich (TUM) as a scholarship holder of the Free State of Bavaria. Now, he is working at the Institute of Flight System Dynamics and leading the HORYZN team. In 2014, he was awarded „Hungary’s Best Student - Best Athlete“ by the Hungarian state. In addition to his studies, he has participated in several competitions including the NASA/DLR Design Challenge and the Mobility Innovation Competition of the State of Bavaria, where he won first place with his team. At the end of 2019, Balázs founded the student group HORYZN with the motto „Prototyping the Aerospace of Tomorrow“ at TUM. The group has already successfully carried out the „SILENCIO Gamma“ project and in the context of it built 6 eVTOL UAV prototypes within 11 months. Currently, HORYZN is working on the project Mission Pulse to deliver a defibrillator with the now 71-member international team.
