Katja macht als Impulsgeberin für Innovation in Produktion und Prototyping mit dem MakerCube-Team, eine Initiative von OpenCampus, digitale Fertigungstechnologien für Start-ups und KMUs mobil in Schleswig-Holstein verfügbar. Sie konzipiert Workshops, hält Vorträge und vernetzt Unternehmen, StartUps und Studierende zu Themen wie Additive Manufacturing, Robotics oder Low Cost Automation. Darüber hinaus leitet sie mit Ihrem Bruder in zweiter Generation das Maschinenbauunternehmen Technicon.
Wichtiger Leitfaden Ihres Handelns ist die Frage, wie kultureller Wandel und technologische Innovationen ineinandergreifen müssen, um nachhaltige gesellschaftliche Veränderungen zu bewirken. Hierzu engagiert sie sich seit vielen Jahren u.a. im ThinkTank 30 des Club of Rome Deutschland und der OceanMindFoundation.
As a driving force for innovation in production and prototyping, Katja makes digital manufacturing technologies available to start-ups and SMEs on a mobile basis in Schleswig-Holstein with the MakerCube team, an OpenCampus initiative. She designs workshops, gives talks and networks companies, start-ups and students on topics such as additive manufacturing, robotics or low-cost automation. She also runs the second-generation mechanical engineering company Technicon with her brother.
An important guiding principle of her work is the question of how cultural change and technological innovations must intertwine in order to bring about sustainable social change. To this end, she has been involved for many years in the ThinkTank 30 of the Club of Rome Germany and the OceanMindFoundation.
