Markus Roth

Markus Roth has been Professor of Laser and Plasma Physics at TU Darmstadt since 2003. In 2013, Dr. Markus Roth became a Fellow of the American Physical Society. Since 2021, he has also been co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Focused Energy, a young company that aims to generate energy using laser fusion.

He is Advisor to the
o International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA (Vienna),
o the Department of Energy (Washington) and
o the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California and
o the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico
and Member of the Fusion Research Advisory Board of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Berlin.
