Rune Bjerkestrand and Katrine Loen are the founders of the Arctic World Archive (AWA). AWA is a safe Repository for World Memory located at Spitzbergen, between the top of Norway and the North Pole. Our goal is to ensure precious memories, history and valued cultural items are never lost, - but can be kept forever without the risks of data corruption or technology obsolescence. AWA host valuable information from clients such as The Vatican Library, GitHub, European Space Agency and National Archives and Libraries.
