Workshop: The Future of Data Collaboration (REGISTRATION REQUIRED)

What we aim to do:
How does data sharing help find solutions to pressing societal problems? What is the role that
businesses and industry can play in advancing it - and how? Zooming in on the key topic of
data collaboration for a sustainable future, The Data Tank closed-door workshop will bring
together a group of European business and industry representatives to discuss the
challenges and opportunities of data access and re-use for the common good. Who we are:
The Data Tank is a nonprofit Think and Do Tank based in Brussels, that focuses on re-using
data differently to serve the common good. Our vision means a significant shift in how we
think about data, how we access it and what we do with it. We are working to create two
programmes to advance data use and re-use. Our Social License explores different
approaches to gaining consent and creating data management guidelines, and identifying
best practices that can be systemised for data reuse. In our Data Stewardship Programme, we
are redefining the role of Data Stewards as trusted enablers who will take the lead in
identifying the challenges that data can help to solve - and do it in a responsible way, so that
data reuse and sharing become a valued part of everyday life.
